Laflin Borough is accepting applications for part-time, as needed maintenance workers/firefighters. The applicant must have a high school diploma or GED, clean Pennsylvania driving record, and provide a clean PA Criminal Background check and PA Child Abuse clearance record. This is a drug and alcohol-free work environment.
In the dual position, the applicant will be responsible for general borough maintenance, assisting the borough DPW as needed, and will also be the fire driver. The applicant must be able to perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks including, but not limited to, lawn mower operation for grass cutting, park & recreation care, and general boro/fire dept. maintenance. They must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision. The applicant must be able to work on their own and work with our fire personnel to complete tasks as needed. Must be able to follow instructions and use experience and knowledge to complete tasks.
The applicant must be a trained firefighter with Fire Fighter 1, EVO, vehicle rescue and Pumps 1 certifications. EMT preferred, EMR minimum qualification.
