Luzerne Co. advised that a temporary Burn Ban is in effect for Laflin Borough, and all of Luzerne Co., due to the dry conditions across the area. During this period, all open burning is prohibited to ensure safety and help prevent fire hazards in the community. While Laflin Borough Ordinance #5 of 1989 allows for some non-trash decorative fires, this temporary ban would eliminate all open burning activities.
This ban is in effect until a future expiration date is determined and instructed by Luzerne County.
