JCP Anna Gubitose Sworn-in by Mayor Bill Kennedy

Anna Marie Gubitose was recently sworn-in as a Laflin Borough Junior Council Person.

Anna Gubitose is a student at Holy Redeemer High School where she is active in sports and is an honor student.

She is committed to the community and looking to make a positive impact during her term as JCP.

In Pennsylvania, Junior Council Persons participate in local government by attending council meetings as a nonvoting member, they provide youth insight and engage in community projects.  Their goal is to learn about local government procedures and processes.  The JCP program provides youth in communities with an opportunity to get engaged in local government and develop leadership skills.   It also allows borough officials to serve as mentors to students who will be future leaders in their community.
